So, what occasions should you gift a Yield, and who should you gift them to? Here are some occasions to consider gifting a yield for;

How It Works: Step-by-Step

Here’s how to Gift a Yield on the Credit Direct App.  

PS: You can send a gift to anyone you know whether they’re signed up on the app or not.  

1. Log In: Log in to the Credit Direct App.  

2. Select Gift Yield: From the Yield Section of the app, you’ll find the Gift Yield icon.  

3. Click Gift a Plan: Click the Gift a Plan button to continue

4. Input Recipient’s Details: Enter the BVN-registered phone number of the recipient and their email, plus, their first name and last name. Confirm the details to ensure accuracy.

5. Name & Fund Your Plan: Provide a name for the plan and enter the amount (minimum ₦50,000).

6. Choose Duration & View Returns: Use the dropdown to select the duration of the plan. You can add a note for that extra personal touch but this is optional. These are the returns depending on the plan’s duration.  

1 month = 16% p.a

2 months = 17% p.a

3-5 months = 18% p.a

6-8 months = 19% p.a

9-11 months = 20% p.a

12 months = 21% p.a

7. Security Question: Input the security question that the recipient can use when redeeming the plan. They only need this security answer when their app=registered phone number is different from the number you used when creating the plan.  

8. Fund The Plan: Now you can fund the plan from your Credit Direct Wallet or Flex Yield.

How to Claim a Gifted Yield Plan

If your loved one gifted you a Yield plan, follow these steps to redeem it.  

1. Log In: Log in to the Credit Direct App or download and sign up if don't have an account.

2. Select Gift A Yield: From the Yield Section of the app, you’ll find the Gift Yield icon.

3. Click Claim Gift: To claim a Yield plan, you will need to enter the code sent to you via SMS and email.  

4. Click Claim Yield: In four easy steps, you’ve just received a thoughtful gift from a loved one. Don’t forget to show your appreciation to the person who gifted the plan.
