Nike Oresanya, popularly known as Heynikeh on Instagram, is a travel and lifestyle creator on a mission to show Nigerians and the world, the beauty of God’s green earth.

From exploring all 36 states in Nigeria to venturing into 8 other African countries, she’s proving that adventure doesn’t have to wait for the perfect moment, it just needs a plan. We caught up with Nike to talk about her journey, her 2025 wins, and how she uses tools like Target Yield to make her goals a reality.

About Nikeh

Before we get into your story, introduce yourself and tell us what you do.

Nikeh: My name is Nike Oresanya, better known online as Heynikeh. I’m a travel and lifestyle creator. I share my stories to showcase the beauty of God’s green earth and inspire people to explore. I started exploring Nigeria in 2019, and since then, I’ve visited all six states plus the Federal Capital Territory, and 8 other African countries. My goal is to see as much of the world as I can and share it with others.

Cool. How did you start creating content and how did you find your niche in travel and lifestyle?

Nikeh: Back in 2020, I had a 9-to-5, more like 9 to 7, but I quit because all I wanted was to explore. I started putting aside money to travel and just went for it. Along the way, I realized that many Nigerians assume we don’t have tourist attractions or beautiful places, and that traveling is only for the rich. So, I began documenting my journey, first with mobile photography, then sharing videos and experiences online. I wasn’t thinking about content creation at first; I just wanted to showcase what I was seeing. Eventually, people loved it, brands noticed, and travel became my niche.

On Finding an Apartment

Congratulations on finally finding your apartment! Tell us about the process: how you planned for it, how you found it, and how you are meeting your apartment goals step by step.

Nikeh: Thank you! It was a journey. I started mentally hunting from January, setting aside money while traveling. By April, I started physically checking houses. But with Lagos housing, my initial budget wasn’t enough. I visited multiple places, used several agents, and paid for logistics, viewing fees, and forms. It wasn’t easy, but breaking the process into small steps and planning my finances carefully made it possible. Eventually, I found the apartment I wanted and started furnishing it while still traveling and reaching other goals.

Your Goals and Target Yield

Looking back at your 2025 goals, what were the top three things you set out to achieve?

Nikeh: First, I wanted to explore at least 3 countries outside Nigeria, I did 4. Second, I wanted to secure an apartment, which I finally did. And third, I aimed to hire a small team to help me manage my work, and that happened too. Breaking big goals into small steps and consistently planning for them made it all achievable.

How important is money in reaching your goals, and how can a feature like Target Yield help?

Nikeh: Money is huge, obviously, but it’s about planning and discipline. People often think they need a massive sum upfront, but little drops make a mighty ocean. With Target Yield, I can set aside money automatically, track my progress, and earn 15% interest while my plan runs. It takes away the stress, makes it easier to stick to a plan, and helps turn goals into reality without last-minute scrambling.

A lot of people want 2026 to be a big year. What would you say to someone who keeps struggling to meet their goals?

Nikeh: Start small. Take away the huge mountain in your head and focus on what’s achievable now. Set your goals, put a plan in motion, and let it grow gradually. You don’t need everything at once, consistent steps get you there.

What are the top three goals you want to achieve in 2026?

Nikeh: First, I want to get a car. Second, I want to visit five countries. And third, I want to build other streams of income beyond content creation and influencing.

What’s your feedback after setting up a Target Yield plan for these goals?

Nikeh: Setting up my Target Yield plan was easy. I named each plan, set how much money I wanted to move, chose the frequency, and picked my start and end dates. It’s automatic, stress-free, and helps me focus on living life while my goals grow quietly in the background. I feel excited and motivated for 2026 because I know my plans are in motion, and the 15% interest is a nice bonus.
