How are benefits paid?
Benefits from insurance claims are paid to the beneficiary via bank drafts or cheques.
Who receives the benefits in the event of a claim?
In the claim is related to hospitalization, the beneficiary is the borrower. In the event that the claim is due to the death of the borrower, the borrower`s registered next of kin is the beneficiary.
How many people are covered under the Insurance cover?
You alone. It is only in the case of the death of the Borrower that benefits are paid to the borrower’s registered next of kin.
Do I choose between what Insurance cover I want when I get a Credit Direct product?
You automatically qualify for both insurance covers once you get a Credit Direct product.
How do I know that I am eligible for this Insurance cover?
You must be between 18 – 65 years of age; you must have obtained a Credit Direct product (Sharp! Sharp!!, Asset Finance or Cash to Go) and You must be a legal resident in Nigeria as at the time of applying for the product.
How long will it take to receive my benefit after I make a claim?
As our valued customer, the most important thing is to make sure you get ALL required documents to your Sales person (DSE) as quickly as possible. Once all documents are received, you or your family will receive benefits within three (3) working days.
How many times do I have to pay the 1% premium during my loan tenor?
Once.
How much does the Insurance cover cost?
The Insurance cover costs just 1% of the loan amount being requested and is deducted upfront from the loan.
For Example: If Mr John Doe borrows N12,000 from Credit Direct Limited for any tenor, a premium of N120 will be deducted from his loan amount and he would get the balance of N11,880.
How much will I be paid after I make a claim?
The type of claim determines the amount you or your next of kin is entitled to.
If you are hospitalized between 3 – 10 nights, you receive a cash payment equal to 50% of your monthly loan installment. From 11 nights and above: you receive a cash payment equal to 100% of your monthly loan installments with Credit Direct Limited.
In case of the borrower’s death; A cash benefit equal to original loan amount, to a maximum of NGN 100,000 is paid to the borrower’s family while the outstanding loan amount plus 1 month’s interest paid to the Credit Direct Limited.
What do I do if one of these events occurs to me?
You should first contact your sales person (DSE). He or she will assist you in gathering the documents needed to receive your benefits. Alternatively, you or your family can walk into any Credit Direct branch office or call 01-4482225, 07098502776.
When can I make an Insurance claim?
You can make a claim in the event of:
- You can make a claim whenever you are hospitalized at any registered NHIS hospital for 3 nights and above
- In the event you pass on, your next of kin is entitled to make a claim.
Please note that all claims must be reported between within 60 days of occurrence

What do I need to be eligible for your loans?
- You should be between 22 and 58 years old.
- You must run an account (Current or Savings) with a commercial Bank in Nigeria.
- Applicant must live and or work in Lagos State.
- You must have a verifiable monthly income.
- You must have a clean Credit Bureau Report.
- You must not have a history of returned cheques in your account.
- One recent passport photograph (within the last 6 months)
- Salary bank statement for the last 3 months (must be stamped by the bank). Your bank can send it directly to us at cashtogo@creditdirect.ng
- NUBAN Cheque leaves for the duration of Loan/Activated Direct Debit Mandate
- Staff Identification card
- Pension statement
- Letter of Employment, Confirmation, Promotion, Redeployment, Salary Increase OR Introduction Letter from Employer’s HR to CREDITDIRECT

What is the minimum and maximum amount I can borrow?
We offer from NGN100,000 to NGN2,500,000
Does Credit Direct require a credit check?
Yes this forms a major part of our loan criteria, we use it to verify information provided in your loan application form.
Do I need to come to the branch to apply for a loan?
No, you do not need to visit the branch at the initial stage of your application. You can make an interim application on our website (www.creditdirect.ng) or by calling 0700CREDITDIRECT (0700273348347328) to speak to our sales team.
Can I have a top up on my existing loan?
Yes. You can top up on your existing loan after you have made 2 payments on your existing 3 month loan, 4 payments on your existing 6 months loan and 6 payments on your 9 months loan and 9 repayments on a 12 months loan without a default. You will also need to provide your updated bank statement and issue new postdated cheques.
How can I reapply after I have liquidated my loan?
You can reapply after liquidation if you had no returned cheque throughout the tenor of your loan. You will also need to provide only your updated bank statement and postdates cheques.
Why is the direct debit on my account not working?
Please note that placing a standing instruction on your account is subject to availability of funds for both the bank charges and the amount to be debited from your account. Kindly visit your bank to ensure the standing instruction is properly setup or send email to cashtogo@creditdirect.ng
My salary will not be paid on the date given what do I do?
Ensure you notify us 72 hours before your due date to retrieve your cheque. We can only hold the cheque for 3days, otherwise a daily default charge will be applied to your account after this date if payment is not made.
I lost my job/ I travelled out of the country. Can I change my repayment date?
Yes you can change your repayment date, but it will be subject to review of proof of change of job. Additional charges will be applicable.
How do I get confirmation that my loan has been approved?
You will get a text message/ call/email confirming funds have been disbursed into your account. If you don’t receive this text within 24hrs, Please send an email to cashtogo@creditdirect.ng.
Can I liquidate my loan before it matures?
Yes you can at no extra charge. You would however pay your outstanding principal and interest up until the time when you are liquidating.
Can I pick up my cheques after liquidation?
Yes you can pick up your cheques after liquidation within 24 hours.
Is your interest a flat rate or on a reducing balance?
Our interest rate is a flat rate charged monthly.
Are there any fees or hidden charges on your loan?
There are no hidden charges.
Can I make a part payment before my loan repayment date?
Yes, a customer can part liquidate and have the facility restructured.
How long do I have to wait after repaying a loan in full before I can reapply for a new one?
You can renew your loan immediately you finish repaying an existing loan.
Can I have multiple loans?
You cannot apply for more than one loan at the point of your application, but you can apply for a top up loan after making one third installments on your current loan. A top up loan is an additional loan request that is added to your existing loan.
If I want to change the amount I applied for, can I do this?
No, this cannot be done after the loan contract has been executed. A top up can be considered, but this will be at the sole discretion of CREDITDIRECT.
