How do I get started with a Yield plan?

We’re excited to help you start! You can sign up through our mobile app or website:

  • Using the Credit Direct Mobile App:
    • Download the Credit Direct Mobile App from your App/Play Store
    • Sign up and verify your phone number
    • Set your password and transaction PIN
    • Complete your KYC by adding both your NIN and BVN details.  
    • Tap "Yield" in the app and create your plan: Fixed, Flex, or both. Please note that Target Yield and Gift a Yield are currently only available on the website.
  • On the Web:
    • Visit yield.creditdirect.ng and click “Get Started”
    • Sign up with your BVN and other details
    • Verify with the OTP we’ll send you
    • Update your profile with your address and bank info
    • Click “Create New Yield Plan”, choose your plan, fund your wallet—and that’s it!

What do I need to open a Yield account?

What’s the minimum I can invest?

You can start your investment journey on any of our Yield plans with as little as ₦50,000.

Is my money safe with Yield?

What details do I need to start investing?

All you need is your name, email, BVN, NIN, and phone number. You’ll also create a secure password and PIN during sign-up.

Where do I log in to manage my Yield account?

You can sign in anytime via:

  • The Yield website
  • The Credit Direct Mobile App (just download from the App or Play Store)

After signing in, just tap on “Yield” to view or create your plan.

What should I expect after logging in?

On the web, log in to www.yield.creditdirect.ng. From the top right corner of your screen, click the menu button and select “Yields”. Choose any of the Yields to begin your growth journey.  

On the mobile app, log in and select “Yield”, to begin your growth journey.  

If you haven’t done so yet, you will need to complete your KYC by adding both your BVN, NIN, and bank details, to use Yield. After that, just follow the steps above to begin your growth journey.  

How do I receive my OTP to complete signup or a transaction?

We’ll send your OTP via email, SMS, or WhatsApp. You can also dial *5120*11# or request a voice call if preferred.

What investment options are available on Yield?
  • Fixed Yield: Lock funds for a set period and earn up to 21% p.a
  • Flex Yield: Enjoy access to your money (4 free withdrawals per month) and earn up to 15% p.a
  • Target Yield: Set a financial goal and contribute towards it over a period. Reaching that goal earns you 15% p.a. Note: Target Yield is currently only available on the Yield website.  
  • Gift a Yield: Show some love to someone you appreciate with a Fixed Yield plan that earns them up to 21% p.a based on the tenor you set. Note: Gift a Yield is currently only available on the Yield website.
Where can I see my active plans?

Your plans will be displayed right on your dashboard. Just select Yield on the mobile app or log in to www.yield.creditdirect.ng to see all your plans.

What is the Credit Direct Wallet?

Your Credit Direct Wallet is your personal, secure space to manage all your financial activities with ease. It’s not just a place to keep your money — it's your all-in-one tool to:

  • Fund your wallet and earn 10% interest per annum on your balance.
  • Seamlessly transfer money to other Nigerian banks—quick and easy.
  • Make payments for things like airtime, data, bills, and more—all from the app.

How do I get my wallet account number?

Getting your wallet account number is quick and easy!

On the Web: 

  • Just log into your Yield dashboard at yield.creditdirect.ng, and you’ll find your account number at the top-right corner.

On the App: 

  • Open the Credit Direct Mobile App and look at the top-right of your dashboard. Your account number will be displayed there, and you can copy it with a simple tap.

Via the USSD code:

  • Dial *5120*3# to view your wallet account number instantly. With the USSD code, you don’t need data to retrieve your wallet account number when you want.

What is Flex Yield?

Flex Yield gives you the flexibility to grow and spend your money at the same time, without locking it away. Here’s why it’s perfect for many users:

  • Flexible Withdrawals: You can make 4 withdrawals per month, without penalty! Just keep in mind that after the 4th, your interest for the month will be forfeited.
  • Interest Rates: Earn 15% per year: Your interest is paid directly into your wallet every month. Flex Yield makes investing easy, flexible, and aligned with your financial goals. 

You get the flexibility to access your money when you need it, while steadily growing it in the background.

How do I fund my wallet for investment?

Funding your wallet is simple, and you have three ways to do it:

  • Use your Wallet Balance: If you’ve already added funds, you can use that directly for your investments.
  • Bank Transfer: You can transfer funds from any bank account (yours or a third party’s) into your wallet account number.
  • Paystack: Easily fund your wallet using Paystack with a debit card or another online payment method.

Whichever method you choose, it’s fast and easy to get your wallet ready for your next investment!

How do I withdraw from my Flex Yield wallet?
  • Withdrawing from your Flex Yield wallet is simple. Just follow these easy steps:
    • Log into your Yield Web Portal at yield.creditdirect.ng or open your Credit Direct Mobile App.
    • Select the Withdraw option on your Yield dashboard.
    • Enter the amount you’d like to withdraw.
    • Keep in mind that you need to maintain a minimum balance of ₦50,000 in your wallet.
    • You can either do a partial withdrawal (as long as you keep at least ₦50,000) or a full withdrawal.

To complete the process, we’ll send you a One-Time Password (OTP) for security.

Are there any penalties for withdrawing from my Flex plan?

With Flex Yield, you have the flexibility to withdraw up to 4 times per month without any penalties! But after your 4th withdrawal, you’ll lose about 20% of your accrued interest for the month.

Withdraw as you need, but keep an eye on the number of times to avoid losing some of your earnings.

What is Fixed Yield?

Fixed Yield is a fantastic way to grow your money with certainty and predictability. It’s perfect for those who prefer a structured approach to saving, offering higher interest rates for longer commitments. You choose the term that suits you, ranging from 1 month to 12 months—and the longer you commit, the higher the return!

How do I set up a Fixed Yield plan?

Setting up a Fixed Yield plan is easy! Just follow these steps:

  • Log into your Yield Web Portal at https://yield.creditdirect.ng or open your CDL Mobile App.
  • If you’re using the mobile app, navigate to “Yield” at the bottom of your screen.
  • On your Yield dashboard, click “Create New Yield Plan.”
  • Choose Fixed Yield (Flex, or Target Yield if you want that instead).
  • Enter the amount you want to invest and select your preferred term (from 1 month to 12 months).
  • Choose your payment method:
    • Use the balance in your wallet (if sufficient).
    • Transfer funds from another account (personal or third-party) into your unique CDL wallet.
    • Fund via Paystack.
  • You’ll see your projected returns to know what to expect.
  • Review and confirm your details, and voilà! Your plan is now active.
  • We’ll send you an investment certificate to your registered email address for your records.
How do I liquidate my Yield plan?

To liquidate your Yield plan, follow these steps:

  • Log into your Yield Web Portal at https://yield.creditdirect.ng or open your CDL Mobile App.
  • If you’re using the mobile app, go to “Yield” at the bottom of the screen.
  • On your dashboard, select the Yield plan you want to liquidate (either Fixed or Flex Yield).
  • Click on your selected plan and then hit the “Liquidate” button.
  • Choose where you’d like the funds to be credited—either your bank account or CDL wallet.
  • Review any applicable fees or penalties (especially for early liquidation).
  • You’ll receive a One-Time Password (OTP) to confirm your liquidation request.

Your liquidation will be processed instantly, but if you’re withdrawing ₦5 million or more, it might take up to 24 hours due to extra validations on our end. You can always track your liquidation status from your dashboard.

How do I track the liquidation of my Fixed plan?

You can easily track the status of your liquidation request directly from your Yield dashboard, whether you’re using the web portal or the mobile app. If there’s any delay or if you need assistance, feel free to reach out through any of our support channels:

Are there penalties for early liquidation of my Fixed plan?

Yes, there is a 20% penalty on the interest earned if you liquidate your Fixed Yield plan before it matures. Additionally, a 10% withholding tax will be deducted from your earned interest upon liquidation

Can I roll over my Fixed Yield plan?

Absolutely! When your Fixed Yield plan matures, you have the option to roll it over to continue earning interest. You can choose from:

  • Full rollover: Reinvest both your principal and interest.
  • Partial rollover: Reinvest only the principal and withdraw the accrued interest.

Please note that if your Fixed Yield plan matures and you don’t liquidate within 48 hours, your funds will automatically roll over into a new Fixed Yield plan. If this happens, your total funds will remain intact, and you can now start earning more.

To roll over your plan, just follow these steps:

  • Log into your Yield Web Portal at https://yield.creditdirect.ng or open your CDL Mobile App.
  • Navigate to “Yield” at the bottom of the screen.
  • On your dashboard, select the plan you want to roll over (either Fixed or Flex Yield).
  • Choose your rollover option (Principal only or Principal & Interest).
  • Select your tenor and review the terms.
  • Complete the process, and your rollover is set!
  • It’s an easy way to keep your savings working for you, continuously.
What investment rollover options do I have?

You’ve got two great options to choose from:

  • Full rollover – Reinvest both your principal and interest.
  • Partial rollover – Reinvest just your principal and withdraw the interest.

You’ll also have the chance to adjust your investment amount before finalizing. Once done, your updated plan will reflect on your dashboard.

Can I change the investment terms while rolling over?

Yes, you sure can! Before confirming your rollover, you’ll have the option to adjust your investment amount and select a new tenor that suits your goals.

How do I create a Target Yield?

It is pretty easy:

  • Log in to your Yield account at yield.creditdirect.ng.
  • Select “Target Yield” and tap “Create Target.”
  • Enter your target name, amount, amount, frequency, start and end dates, and preferred debit times.
  • Depending on the frequency you set, the amount that you require to contribute periodically to reach your goal, will be generated.
  • Hit “Save Target” and confirm that the details are correct.
  • Select a funding source for auto-deductions (Either Flex wallet or your main Credit Direct wallet).
  • Hit “Fund Target” and you are active!

Based on the debit time and funding source you selected, your account will be debited periodically to fund your Target.

What if I want to close my Target before reaching my goal?

You can definitely do that!

  • Simply log in to www.yield.credidirect.ng
  • Open “Yields” click “Target Yield”  
  • Select the plan you want to close and click the “Release Yield” button at the bottom.
  • Choose the account you want your money paid to, either your regular bank account or CDL wallet.  
  • After entering the OTP sent to your phone number and/or email address, your funds will be paid accordingly.  

Please note that you will lose all your accrued interest if you close your Target before you reach the goal you set.

How do I keep track of my rolled over investment plan?

It’s easy! Your rolled-over plan will appear right on your dashboard alongside your other Yield plans, so you can monitor its performance at a glance.

Can I access my Yield account from my Credit Direct app?

Absolutely! Just open your Credit Direct Mobile app or visit yield.creditdirect.ng to access your account anytime. If you haven’t downloaded the app yet, head to the Play Store or Apple Store, search for “Credit Direct Mobile,” and sign up to get started.

Do I need an FCMB account before opening a Yield account?

Not at all. Yield is open to everyone, and you don’t need an FCMB account to start investing with Yield.

What is Gift a Yield?

Gift a Yield lets you share the gift of financial growth by creating a Fixed Yield plan for someone else. It’s a thoughtful way to help a friend, family member, or colleague invest towards their future.

How do I Gift a Yield?

Gifting is simple:

  • Log in to your Yield account at yield.creditdirect.ng.
  • Select “Fixed Yield” and tap “Create Plan.”
  • Choose “For Someone Else.”
  • Enter the recipient’s phone number (must be BVN-registered).
  • Set the plan name, duration, and amount (min ₦50,000).
  • Fund the plan using your wallet, transfer, or Paystack.
  • Once payment is confirmed, the plan is live and viewable in your “Gifted Plans” tab.
Is there any requirement for me to Gift a Yield?

The recipient must already have a Yield account to receive the gifted plan.

Are there returns on Gift a Yield?

Yes! The returns mirror our standard Fixed Yield rates:

  • 1 month – 16%
  • 2 months – 17%
  • 3–5 months – 18%
  • 6–8 months – 19%
  • 9–11 months – 20%
  • 12 months – 21%
How often are investment returns paid out?
  • Flex Yield: Interest is credited to your wallet monthly.
  • Fixed Yield: Returns are paid at maturity or rolled over, depending on your preference.
How long does it take for withdrawals to be processed?
  • For amounts under ₦1 million, withdrawals are processed instantly.
  • For ₦1 million and above, please allow up to 24 hours due to internal validations.
Is there a minimum amount I can withdraw from my investment?

No minimum! You can withdraw any amount, as long as you keep at least ₦50,000 in your Flex Yield plan.

How long does it take for deposits to reflect in my account?

Deposits reflect instantly—no delays!

Do I get a monthly account statement?

Yes, we email your account statement monthly to your registered email address. It’s a great way to stay on top of your financial journey.

What is the minimum and maximum amount of money I can put into Yield?
  • Minimum per plan: ₦50,000. For Flex Yield, your initial investment must be a minimum of N50,000, but you can top up with less from time to time. If you want to withdraw, you must withdraw money that keeps the plan balance at a minimum of N50,000. If not, you will have to withdraw everything in your Flex plan.
  • Maximum per plan: ₦10 million. There’s no limit to how many plans you can create, so feel free to invest toward multiple goals!
Do I get referral points when I refer someone to open a Yield account?

Yes, you do! Your referral code is right on your Yield profile. You can share it and earn referral points when you do.

Can I access my investment account from multiple devices?

Yes, but with a few details:

  • Web: You can log in from multiple devices after authentication.
  • Mobile App: Limited to one device at a time, but you can switch devices securely through our verification steps.
Can I have more than one account on Yield?

You can have only one Yield account, which is your main Yield wallet, also known as your CDL wallet. However, you can create multiple Fixed, Target, and Gift a Yield plans. You can also fund your flex plan whenever you choose.

What is the maximum amount of time I can lock my money for?
  • Fixed Yield: Up to 12 months per plan, with an option to roll over at maturity.
  • Flex Yield: No lock-in period—you’re in control!
  • Target Yield: Up to 12 months per plan, with interest paid when you hit your goal.
How secure is my data?

How are investment returns calculated?

Here’s a quick breakdown:

  • Credit Direct Wallet: Earn 10% per annum on your wallet balance, paid monthly. Interest accrues daily.
  • Flex Yield: Earn 15% per annum, paid monthly. First 4 withdrawals are free—exceeding that forfeits interest for the month.
  • Fixed Yield: Earn up to 21% per annum, depending on how long you invest. Interest is paid at maturity.
    • Fixed Yield Rates:

How do I reset my password?

Tap on “Forgot Password” on the login screen. It is available on both the app and website, just follow the prompts.

Why is my BVN name different from my NIN, and how does it affect sign-up?

This usually means there’s a mismatch between your BVN and NIN details which may prevent you from completing your sign-up process. During sign-up, your BVN name, date of birth, and phone number will be displayed. Please review these details carefully to ensure they are accurate.

  • If the BVN is correct, kindly visit a NIMC center to update your NIN.
  • If the BVN details are wrong, please visit your bank to update them.
Why am I not receiving my OTP during registration?

Make sure your BVN-linked number is active. If your BVN-linked number is inactive, you can enter an alternate number during registration.

You can also opt for “OTP via call”  and dial *5120*11# to retrieve your OTP.

Why was I debited for a failed Paystack payment?

How do I upgrade my KYC tier?

Open your app, log in, and tap “Upgrade” on your dashboard, then follow the instructions to upgrade your tier. You’ll also need:

  • A Valid ID
  • NIN/BVN
  • Utility bill (for Tier 3)
How do I change my transaction PIN?

Changing your PIN is simple:

  • Open the Credit Direct Mobile app
  • Tap “Account” at the bottom
  • Scroll to “Change PIN”
  • Enter your current PIN, then your new one
  • Verify using the OTP sent to your phone
How do I track the performance of my Yield investments?

Tracking your investments is simple. There’s a breakdown of your Yield investment and interest earnings on your dashboard.

Just log in to your Yield account via the app or website, select the applicable plan, and you’ll see a detailed breakdown of your investment amount, interest earned, and transaction history.

Why isn’t my Yield investment activated after funding?

Your investment should be activated immediately after funding. If it hasn’t, it could be due to pending payment confirmation or a temporary technical delay.

How do I update my bank account number for my Yield investment?

If you haven’t signed up for Yield yet, you can enter your preferred bank account number during registration. If you’ve already registered, we typically advise against changing account details for security reasons.

Why can’t I withdraw from my Yield investment?

Withdrawals are usually instant. However, if you're withdrawing ₦1 million or more, it may take up to 24 hours due to internal approval processes.

How do I increase or reduce my transaction limit?

You can easily modify your transaction limit through the mobile app:

  • Log in to the Credit Direct Mobile app
  • Tap “Account” at the bottom
  • Select “Transaction Limits”
  • Enter your new limit and follow the prompts to confirm
Why am I not receiving notifications for my Yield transactions?

SMS and email notifications are sent instantly for all transactions. If you’re not receiving them, it may be due to a temporary network delay from your service provider.

How do I resolve multiple withholding tax deductions on my Yield investment?
