Akinwande Ademosu is the Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director of Credit Direct Limited. A native of Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, Nigeria, Akin holds a First Degree in Economics from Ogun State University and an MBA from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He also holds a certificate in General Management Programme (GMP) from Harvard Business School, Boston and an Executive MBA (Trium eMBA – jointly issued by London School of Economics and Political Science, HEC Paris and NYU Stern, USA).

Akin, started his banking career over two decades ago with Equity Bank Limited, and has since recorded many successes in Finance and Business Management at various Institutions he has worked. He joined First City Monument Bank and led the team that developed and birthed the first structured non-bank consumer lending business in Nigeria – Credit Direct Limited, which commenced operations in 2007.

He started as the Chief Operating Officer and was later appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Credit Direct Limited (A member of FCMB Group Plc). Akinwande has received notable awards and recognition for his managerial prowess, community service, and all-round determination. In the year 2018, he was a recipient of the prestigious Harvard Business School Association of Nigeria (HBSAN) Leadership Award for General Management, as well as the Consumer Finance Company CEO of the Year at the BusinessDay Banking and Financial Institutions (BAFI) Awards. Akin is the Deputy President of the Finance Houses Association of Nigeria (FHAN) and Fellow of several professional bodies. He leads his local church’s community give-back initiative: Daystar Benevolence Unit. He also mentors and coaches’ young entrepreneurs and leaders through his IMPACT CIRCLE on life – faith, family and business.

He is alumni of Harvard Business School and also a Board Composition & Roles member of the Chartered Institute of Credit Risk Management of Nigeria, Chartered Pension Institute of Nigeria and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
